I'd like to get some input on the stocking I have planned for my new 75 gallon tank. I already have the EBJD & BN pleco in my 55 gal and they are moving up once I get my new 75.

1 EBJD
1 Salvini
1 severum
1 fire mouth
1 Blue Acara (or electric blue)
1 Red tail Black shark
1 BN pleco

If something has to go, top of the list would be the fire mouth.

Thanks!

That shouldn't be a problem. They all stay relatively small 5"- 8" for most. Just make sure you have plenty of rocks or hiding places. Firemouths can get pretty nasty but in a tank that size you shouldn't have a problem

I would think the salvini could end up being a problem. Never kept them but there are plenty of stories around here about them

Id be worried about the salvini. Firemouths are just show offs.

Alas....of course that was the one I was really looking forward to!

Is there something that you'd recommend instead? Or am I better off just cutting back the one fish?

You could try for a pair of sals since you sound like you like them best

Be best to skip the Salvini as others said, they are more suited to highly aggressive community's with larger species like midas and texas. Could add a geophagus in its place, maybe a brasiliensis?

Probably need to lose the fm as these can hit 10inch.

Ok. the sal is out of the mix. the geophagus is too big. and the FM, i've read on multiple sites only grow to 6"
