Stocking A 75 Help?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would say that unless the Oscar is big enough to be clearly dominant, the FM will harass it relentlessly.

Just remember the FM and other similar sized cichlids are much quicker and agile than an Oscar, and can and will harass it if possible.

I'd get the Oscar first then decide.

SD's should be ok. Some people here will tell you 75 is too small for an Oscar though.

Good luck:headbang2

A 75 for an oscar is fine just make sure you have a good enough filtration system in place for this extremely messy fish, mine is an absoulute pig and loves to make a mess IMO

oh yeah and if you add plants make sure you weigh them down otherwise your oscar will dig them up and put them where he likes them

Oh trust me i know;) 10x for HOB filters which I'm good for. Thanks for all the help guys, i think I'm just gonna go with 3 SD's so i dont have to worry to much about agression. While the post is up, does anyone know if i can keep a Jewel in a 10 gallon? The smaller red kind, ive posted in the African section but still waiting for a answer.

Dude jewels are like 10x as aggressive as FMs dont do it. Plus , they are from africa (bleh), and our goalhere (or at least mine is) pure hybridless SA and CA tanks. How bout a nice GT instead of the firemouth??
