I just got a 1.5inch EBJD and put him in a 75g with a 8 inch common pleco, i wanted to create a "blue" tank by adding a few gourami, a texas, a female convict, and maybe a blue jewel....is this combo "safe'' for the EBJD or should I consider something else? all suggestions are welcome

sounds safe but i mean be carefull, in my expirience ebjd are so damn fragile.. i mean maybe i just have bad luck with them.... good luck though..... if its a true texas and not a carpintis than be a lil carefull, they can be downright beligerant and try and run that tank.... well atleast mine does

Yeah I would swap the Texas with a Carpintis. Mine has a lot of nice blue in it.

I wouldn't add any of those competitive Cichlids until that Blue dempsey has grown quite a bit...

:iagree: A stressed EB = slow but sure death.

only warning ya man, cause i mean i have a true texas and they can be downright mean....... mine took out a red devil... a talapia.... a blackbelt..... a mayan, i mean he just chooses what tankmates he likes and the rest die.. so b careful..

thanks peoples...I wish I could get more EBJD but at 50 bucks a piece one is enough LOL! thats a lil more than the 5-10 bucks I'm used to spending on fish.

Ima hold off on making this set up aggressive, I might get a few blood parrots to keep him company...this should work ,shouldn't it.:screwy:

Most of my experience has been with glass bangers, so will something like keyholes, rams, or kribs, be ok to place in the 75
