Here is what we have going on.

75 gallon
Fluval FX5
Stealth heater
driftwood

Here is the deal I am inheriting my brothers JD(male) and my wife has one at work I will be getting, last I looked I think it is female. I will also have a pair of bristlenose what else could I get, I would prefer a smaller fish 4-5" max that will pair up and be quiet colorful.

:iagree:

Not looking for a solo fish, another smaller pair, not 100% sure the Jacks will be M/F if not I will only be keeping one male at that point what could I put?

Anyone with experience in mixing an EBJD with a standard, If I went this route they would be the only pair in the tank other than a couple of bristlenose plecos.

Generally it'll work ok if the blue is bigger than the regular (they tend not to be as tough). Best combo would be a male ebjd with a female jd - Good luck sexing the ebjd, though!

I'd also look into Neets. They are smallish and could definitely defend themselves
