So, what fish to get.

Fish I KNOW I want:

Flagtail

Fish I REALLY want:

Datnoid

Upside Down Catfish

Fire eel/any eel (my subtrate is large and kinda sharp though =(

I'd love to hold a knifefish. I'd rather not get an african knife, but I suppose thats all that would work. (what about a zebra knife)

Clown Loaches
crazy fish

Fish I want:

eartheaters, parrot cichlids, firemoth, jack dempsy, other medium to large cichlids, severums

pictus cats or other catfish

leporinus

let me know what you think a good stock would be... for the record id really like to have at least 2 types of cichlids in the tank

Large and sharp substrate rules out any eel. It will get cut up, and it will get an infection, and it will die. and it'll keep getting cut-up even if you treat it. large and sharp substrate wouldn't be ideal for clowns either, or most bottom dwellers for that matter. depending how sharp the gravel is you may be best changing it. I know flagtails 'n dats also get rather big but dunno min tank size. If you changed the gravel to sand or something softer. fire eels/TT eel would be out unless you plan on upgradeing in the future.
