I'm getting rid of my severum and my firemouth cichlid(picking on bichir). I have space to add more fish now.

Current stock in 125 with a FX6:
5 inch senegal birchir
8 tiger barbs
6 black skirt tetras
1 electric blue acara
1 opaline gourami
1 dolphin cichlid(will be added once it gets larger) growing it out in my 29 gallon at the moment

I prefer adding larger fish but the most important thing is I do not want fish that EAT plants. Aggressive behavior I can deal but if it nibbles on plants forget it.

The only fish I can think of possibly adding is an African Knifefish. But open to suggestions.

None of my Angels really care about plants until they're ready to breed, and even then they just clean the plant off. Angels are quite hardy, colorful, personable, and get about 6-8" tall with their bodies being 3-4" discs.

Good suggestion. I used to have some but sold them. Guess I'm seeking something more predatory.

Paratilapia polleni!

Or an african knife would be a good idea.

Or more bichirs / a group of 3+ ropefish.

Or a group of butterflies for the top. (Although I think the Polleni likes the top area most from what I hear, though I've never had one, they are on my wish list.)

I'll research the Polleni. The butterflies seem cool especially since they would house thr top zone. Although I have tons of flow in my tank not sure they would like it. I'll check it out. Thx!
