I am getting a 225 gallon acrylic bow front tank soon. Currently I have cichlids in a 55 gallon and a 100 gallon.
I'm trying to figure out how to move them all around. If I could get as many as I can into the 225, and then the remainder in the 55 that would be best as I don't know where to keep the 100 gallon now.
So here is the list of fish I have:
55 gallon
8" Tiger Oscar
6" Albino Oscar
4" Electric Blue
4" Electric Yellow
5" Ice Blue
5" Bumblebee
5" "Calico"
3" Peacock
4" Convict
Pleco
The tiger and albino have had a HUGE growth spurt since I added them to the 55 gallon this month.

100 gallon
10" Jaguar
6" mated pair Green Terrors
6" Jack Dempsey
3" Gourami pair
8" tin foil barb
pleco

The tank I am getting has a separate section across the back with a 4" hole or so, that smaller fish can go through to be protected if they need to. The space is about 6" deep and as wide as the tank.

Who can I put where???? Lol.

Not sure how you should arrange your new fish, but I had my hand in your new tank last night :) Its a super nice tank -- I bought those 4 clowns he had and they were in that 225 -- nice pickup!

I think your best option, if possible, would be to keep all 3 tanks running, because that 100 and 55 are seriously overstocked as it is. I'm surprised you haven't had any aggression or water quality issues yet.

Anyway, what are the dimensions of the 225 and 100?

It seems like the African's you have listed don't grow more than 8 inches I believe,as for the two Oscars, you can totally have those in a 225 gallon

Did you decide to sell this tank? There is one for sale on CL right now that looks just like it.

I would move all the stock from your 100 to the 225 move the oscars pleco and convict to the 100 and keep just the africans in the 55

225:
8" Tiger Oscar
6" Albino Oscar
10" Jaguar
6" Jack Dempsey
8" tin foil barb
pleco

100:
6" mated pair Green Terrors
4" Convict
Pleco
3" Gourami pair

55:
4" Electric Blue
4" Electric Yellow
5" Ice Blue
5" Bumblebee
3" Peacock
5" "Calico"

and don't buy any more fish

Depending on the pleco in question, I would remove it from the acrylic tank. Dont want him chewing on the surface.

Also a lone tinfoil, get rid of. Better in a school.

I would pretty much do the same thing as Cacichlids suggested keep the africans in there own tank and the SA/CA cichlids in the other tanks plus african cichlids should have more alkaline water then american cichlids
