Hi, I just bought a new tank an 80 gal bowfront for my cichlids and had a bigger one dropped in my lap so i want to use the 80 for my first venture into saltwater. I would like to know what would fit well into this tank i plan on buying everything as young as i can to avoid much aggression issues. I know we want a volitian lion and an eel we wanted a ribbon, i have heard many negative things about them. what else could we put in this tank? we like tangs, tiggers, and goby/blennies.

tangs need at least 6 feet to swim around. they go crazy and swim in circles of they don't have enough room.

Im guessing 80 gallons is a skinny 4 footer which isnt going to be big enough for a volitan either. Maybe look into a smaller species of lionfish.

Have you ever done saltwater before? If not let us know because it's a whole other ball game. You need to familiarize yourself with equiptment before you go ga-ga over the animals.
