So, I have the green light to make an aquarium/reptile corner and one of the tanks I'm planning on making (Yes all made by me, custom dimensions) is a 4(possible 5)x1.5x2ft (LxWxH) jungle tank that is heavily planted. I got the inspiration for it from Duane's tank with the val forest. Filtration will be two large sponge filters (You can see the ones I use in the thread about my Black eel tailed catfish), a medium sized canister filter, and an absolute forest of houseplants growing out of the top
My planned stocking would be combining some fish that I already have to here as well as getting some new ones.
So far I have these as things I will definitely be adding:
x6 Croaking Gourami
x2 Apisto macmasteri
x10 Kuhli Loaches
x3 Hillstream Loaches
x3 Peacock Gudgeons
x8 Dwarf Neon Rainbows
x8 Panda Coryies

What I am wondering is whether I would be able to add either a Peacock eel or a Black Ghost knife, or if I could add both.
Also any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!

Would not recommend black ghost knives due to their predatory nature and large adult size (potentially 18 inches or more). Your tank and stocking are not compatible with one.

Peacock eels might work but I would still by cautious about them eating the other fish, since they can reach 8 inches minimum.

+1, I'd leave out the peacock eel too. You hit the nail on the head that the kuhlis will probably be eaten.

Think you’d be fine with the eel or bgk (for a while). Think you’ll need a bigger tank eventually As the bgk grows. It’ll take a while for the bgk to get to a size of being predatory. Make sure the peacock eel is a large size or bigger than the other fish.

Maybe get a half banded spiny eel instead? It maxes out a bit smaller and would be less of a risk to small fish.
