i have a 36 gal bow front w/ a male firemouth bout 2- 2 1/2" and 7 zebra danios. was thinking about searching for a female firemouth. this male is a real badass, almost a mini glassbanger haha. should i find him a female or should i throw in a diff species? i have a female convict and a yellow acara in another tank i could add too. (no cross breeding intended) any ideas?? no HRP, they r rare in my area w/ out buying groups online

You could try the female, since they are both small there is a lot of room is the tank. Just watch out for any aggression.
I'd try the female. IME most firemouths are more bark than bite, but either way, just watch out for aggression and be ready to pull her if need be.
