Stocking advise for 6×2×2 ?

Hey was just wondering if I could add another cichlid to my tank and what you think would be good.... I tried a jd but it did not work out. He is in a 55 now and has fully recovered. The other fish are a 12" zonatus, a 6" jaguar, 5" festae (suspected jd basher ) all males and 2 featherfins and a clown loach. What's your opinions??

From talking with other members that have owned zonatus im not going to add anything to their tank currently a 75 eventually moving to a 150. From what other more experienced keepers think it will probably end up being 1 zo in the 150.


Just food for thought. Looks like your gonna have your handful with the 3 existing fish lol

The zonatus isn't that bad. When I had my 8×2×2 I had a red devil 10" and a 12" synspilum and they both used to chase the zonatus around. Touch wood he stays good. Right now he and the jag both give the festae a bit of a hard time but from what I've read the festae may become the dominant one?

Once a cichlid such as large zonatus has divided the territory of the tank with its current tank mates, and is its turf, it is very hard to add any other fish.
