Any idea on how to stock a 120 gallon. I want some decent sized fish. I want them to be as colorful as possible to add lots of color to the tank.

Guppy are out of the question. I thought about a platy tank my favorite livebearer but then i would have to have a massive amount of them at least 60.

There is common goldfish. I could put 2 in there and the bright orange makes for a colorful tank.

By the sounds of the thread statement, I beleive you do not know much about cichlids or any other monter fish.........Right???If so excuse me for what option I am about to ptu up for you.......You have the balls to mention platys and goldfish, so I will go with it..........Try a group of fancy goldfish........Black Moors, Orandas, Telescope Eye Calicos, Lionheads, Ranchus..........I hear Ranchus and Lionheads are the buzz now, they have been for the past 2-3 years.........In fact, locally, the black lionhead here goes for $100 when they are a big fatty 5 inches........Whatever you pick, leave the number of goldies to under 7 for the size of tank you have..............

I thought common goldfish were consired monster since they get to around 18" not mentioning Koi that can get to around 3 - 4 feet. that is what i call a monster fish.

I always wanted to keep freshwater sharks but that tank is too small for irridescent shark or even bala shark. Bala sharks needs at least a 8 feet tank and need to be in group of at least 6. That tank is even too small for a black shark i think that get around 2 feet.

I know platy are not monster fish and people say a big tank is for big fish. I just thought it could be sick a tank filled with 60 or 100 of those guys.
