ok i have a breeding pair of convicts in a 55 gal if i wanted to try to put another pair of cichlids in there what would likely works not saying anything would work but if i wanted to try something can i get some options

With a breeding pair of convicts, no other breeding pair will work. The tank is basically loaded with frequent skirmishes. Focus on dithers instead of getting another breeding pair.
i mean if i block the view of the fish and and have hiding spaces i think it should work , i have a sal in the 55 with the pair and some tilpia know aggression at all a little flaring between the sal and the male convict though

nice, he/she looked real good before someone through it in with some big parachromis and it got its arse whooped and brought it back looking to trade it for another fish that would hold its own after i told him that the sal would probably end up dying, anyways you have it now haha
