Hi All

Tomorrow I get my new tank. It’s a 72”*22”*24”, approx 150 gallons. Have a FX5 and an Eheim 2028 & 2229 (wet/dry). The plan is to move everything from the four footer into the six footer all in one go. Then gradually increase the level of the six footer to capacity. The 2028 is cycled but the FX5 is not, also got some Fluval FX4’s (cycled).

This post’s objectives are mainly stocking options, but any other advice is greatly appreciated.

I have at the moment 10 2-3 inch clown loaches, I wont be keeping them LT, but definitely for the foreseeable future. 3 1-2” juvi geophagus red head tapajo’s and a juvi EBJD. What would go well with these fish?

I figure the clowns and geo’s will mainly be bottom dwellers. The EBJD mid-level and I have my heart set on a red-spotted severum (if I can find one)

Looking for more mid-level/top-level cichlids/tropicals. Any suggestions?

Was thinking of an oscar, but thinking maybe better off with a smaller cichlid, less messy and won’t swallow my clowns, geo’s etc.

I was given the following as a list of cichlids that would be compatible, any opinions?

· Cryptoheros Cutteri
· Vieja Argentea
· Herichthys Boccourti
· ‘Cichlasoma’ Salvini
· Septemfaciatus
· Herichthys Pantocictus Herichthys Media Luna Yellow
· Herichthys cyanoguttatus (True Texas Cichlid)
· Rocio octofasciatus ‘gold dempsey’

I'm really after a sense of direction, any advise is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
Hol
