I have a new 125g 6ft tank cycling now, and just wanted some suggestions and input on my stocking. Will be sand substrate with a good amount of hiding places.

Fish for sure.
- Vieja Argentea
- Herichthys turquoise (similar to texas)
- GT
- Pair of Sajica's
- 6-8 SD dithers

Undecided.
- Parachromis fredricksthalli?
- Salvini?
- Fire Eel?
- JD?
- 3-4 pictus cats for bottom? (any other suggestions?)
- Instead of the Silver Dollars, could i possibly use 6-8 jewels as dithers? or is that asking for disaster?
- oh and i plan on adding my current 6 inch severum from my 55g. If he gets harassed then move him back right away.

All of the fish will be added as juvies, between 1-2 inches, asides from the severum.

So, do you think it's possible to add any of the fish i have currently under the undecided column? Clearly i dont plan to add all of them, haha. Just whichever single/combo you think i add of those.

Just looking for some final input before i purchase the fish. Thanks.

i would slash the argentea, they get big and mean so they will claim a good chunk of the tank. Don't use jewels as dithers because they can be little monsters. I would add the salvini in replacement of the argentea.

I would do the JD instead of the GT, I've had better luck w/ them. GT get damn mean when full grown & may try to claim the whole tank...mine did anyway.

I wouldn't do more than 2 or 3 mid size sa/ca cichlids in there unless they were eartheaters. Out of what you have above my choice would be... the severum, 1 Sajica,1 JD, 3-4 SD dithers, 3-4 pictus cats for bottom. That should make a pretty busy aquarium. GL

ow ya forgot about the severum. i would do what thor said. Your tank would be busy. or you could do something similar to my 125.
