Hey, im my tank i currently have a dwarf gourami, cory cat and a female guppy, i would like to get 1-2 more gouramis, and 2 clown loaches. Could i also get a cichlid? Maybe one of the ones that only grows to about 4-6 inches. BTW i have a 20 gal tank. I also have a 5 gal that i could put the guppy in if the cichlid might eat it. I only have access to Petco cause my parents won't drive me anywhere else (LOL). They have a few ones there that only grow to like 4-6in it says but the fish guy said that it would eat everything in my tank. Want your opinions! Thanks, any other questions, please ask!

I would advise against adding a cichlid to your set up - they really aren't suited as community type fish in broad terms.
Maybe a pair of small Rams would be okay. They stay small and aren't as aggressive as many other cichlids that Petco might suggest for your 20gal. You would have to keep up with the water changes to keep them healthy. I wouldn't add a Convict, especially not a pair. In that size tank they would breed and kill everything else.
