I have a 55g and a 60g hex tank that I will be setting up for new world cichlids and I had a few questions about stocking them.

For the 55g I was planning on getting a few uaru sp. orange, not sure how many. I was also going to get a small group of Geophagus dicrozoster. I realize that these fish will outgrow the tank, but i figure they should be fine until i can get a 125+ size tank (within the next year). Do you think this would be an okay combination?

For the 60g hex i would like to get just 1 fish. I was considering a dempsey or a red terror. Possibly a smaller sized pleco as well. Do you think the aforementioned fish will be able to use the tank for life? The hex tanks are wierd sizes so i wasnt sure.

I have excellant filtration on both tanks.

i can't really comment on the first setup but I definitely wouldn't do a red terror in a 60 hex unless you're planning to upgrade that tank as well. what are the dimensions of the hex tank? you'd probably need to stick to something like JD, salvini....actually might be a fine tank for a pair of firemouths and some swordtails. :)
