I just put in an order at my LFS for two south american puffers and some other fish :nilly: [the others have a decided place aready], and have two tanks up and running right now. One is my breeder guppy 10g, the other is my square 29g. I was wondering, even though they are nippy little things, would there be any way I could put the two SAP's in with my angels, it would only be for two weeks, until my next check comes in, or should I set up my old 10 or 20g just for them? Tell me what to do rofl online didn't help much. Also, is there anywhere to order pest snails, not MTS's, for my puffers? The LFS is out at the moment, they only have mysteries, which I won't feed, and boodworms. I know the puffers need crunchy fodder for the beaks, any ideas of where to pick up such foods? I don't much care for feeding live foods xD :screwy: So yeah, any ideas and info will be nice, remember, it would only be two weeks in my 29g too, and the SAP's are an inch or so, wee little things right now :)

Howdy and welcome to MFK!

I wouldn't set up a new tank simply because it won't be cycled by the time you get your fish. You could get a guppy breeder plastic bin to put into your angel tank, just to be on the safe side.

I think set up a divider in my 29g for now, and move the puffers into the guppy tank, the guppies will be moved of course, and the tanks been set up for about three months now xD If that sounds ok, thanks for the advice and welcome ^^

Well I guess I'll find out if mine are nippers ^.^ If not maybe they can stay with the angels when I get a larger setup. I read that they needed the snails and bloodworms, basically anything crunchy so their beaks don't get overgrown and all, and to keep trimming to a minimum. But thanks for everything guys :) I can't wait to bring my little guys home, I'll post updates in a new thread.
