My salinity is starting to get to the SW range (1.018) so its time to try and figure out what I can add. I currently have 4 Mono's and two Green Spotted Puffers. I would like to add some color, or some interesting looking fish. I was thinking about a porcupine puffer but they get bigger than I'm interested in. I would like the fish to top out around 6 to 8 inches. I'll go bigger if something really strikes my eye.

I think the fish I have live in the ocean once they get older. what lives with them?

The tank is a 120 with crushed coral / dolomite substrate and a 40 gallon sump (probably have it about half full).

I was thinking about a cow fish (they look kinda cool) but I'm not sure if its the way I want to go. They also get bigger than I'm looking for.

cow fish need rather peaceful tankmates, your two puffers are probably going to be the deciding factor on what you can add

how "peaceful" are they?

I have not had any issues with them attacking the monos. The monos are either the same size as them or bigger than them though. I had a bunch of guppies in the tank that were placed in there as feeders. It took a while for them to get eaten, but I think the monos ate them.

Archer fish are cool and i think that the big ones can be kept in full salt

a group of chromis or damsels would be nice (and pretty easily replaced if attacked)
