Stocking help!

Lately ive been thinking about getting rid of some of my ca/sa cichlids that are in with my ornates. not that they bother them i just want something different. I would like to get a Datnoid or some other kind of mid-top water fish. It a 55g for now till summer i will be upgrading to a tank with a 6'x2'x2' footprint. So my question is what other fish are you people keeping with your bichirs? I appreciate it alot and thanks for your time.

Rope fish make a great addition to your tank just make sure they're bigger then your bichirs, I also have some pirate perches in with my bichirs.

Tinfoils or geophagus,dats are good too,severums perhaps.

Any of the large ctenopoma are great with them.

AROWANA!!!! don't get silvers. you'll need that 6by2by2 tank. It's very unlikely for tham 9aro and bichir) to annoy each other since one is a bottom dweller and the other one is a surface dweller.

A 6x2x2 tank is nowhere near large enough for aros.

I have a royal CK, red bay snook, wild snook, red shoulder sev, fire eel, oscar, and a L330 with my 3 bichirs.

Yes overstocked. Yes will be thinned when it becomes a problem.
