Stocking idea 7 gallon

Hi everyone, considering getting a 7 gallon tank with the dimensions 26cm(h) x 58cm(w) x 21cm(d).
I was wondering what should I stock it with. Here is what I was thinking:

• 6 Cherry Shrimp (I know that they could breed)
• 7 Chilli Rasboras
• 1 Scarlet Badis

Sounds great, except for one thing. The scarlet badis. They only eat live foods, are incredibly rare and expensive here in Aus. I only know of one guy who has them.

would they eat baby brine shrimp?

If you can culture amphipods and daphnia, you’d be able to keep the badis well fed.
