I recently received a 120g tank and I need some ideas for stocking.

I currently have a 55g with:
1x male - Ice Blue Zebra (alpha male highly aggressive)
1x male - Electric Blue Johannii
1x male - Jewel Cichlid
1x female - Auratus

I plan to transfer these fish from the 55g to the 120g and I'm thinking of maybe introducing some larger Central/South American cichlids or even maybe some Fronts

What do you guys think would work well with my current stock?

+1 Especially Mbuna

I also think the auratus will be much too aggressive for the fronts... not to mention the other mbuna being aggressive with one. The front will get its fins nipped and look awful if not die imo. Front= gentle giant. If Mbuna are your taste why not get some 4:1 F/M ratios going you could fit a lot in a 120. If you like fronts you could do a font community. Would also make for a nice predatory haps tank. Or you could get a good pair of ca/sa cichlids... this is where your personal opinion comes in. Some times its hard to choose but making a big mix of these different genres is a recipe for disaster. Not preaching, ive tried and failed against the advice of others.

although auratus are generally aggressive in nature, mine is a female and is extremely peaceful.. the only fish i've had a problem with is the ice blue zebra, who has killed the majority of the 15 mixed mbuna i originally had in the tank (only 4 left)...

If I left the africans in the 55g and started a Front community in the 120g, how many Fronts should I get?

Or would I be able to accommodate a JD and GT in the 120g for life? or is this a recipe for disaster?

what about a breeding pair of gt or jd? when it comes to 120g there is a lot you can do along the lines of ca/sa cichlids. you cant beat ca/sa personality.

+1 on a pair

Maybe a Hatian Cichlids, or paratilapi Bleekeris/polleni's, or chocolate cichlids..
