Hey everyone, I have been out of the fish game ( for the most part) for about a year. I just picked up a 265 (84x24x30) gallon and a 120 gallon ( 60x18x26) and I'm thinking im going to go with a SA/CA tank and was just looking for ideas or here some combinations that have worked for you in the past. I don't want to be severely overstocked but if I have to be close to curb aggression that's fine. I'm open to just about anything I would like some color and personality
Maybe even just a wet pet for the 120 or a pair of something. Anyway let's here some ideas! image.jpg

So many options!! Wet pets I've always heard grew things about amphilophus genus. As for the big one, I still don't know much about them but I'm starting to love watching vieja tanks more and more. At that size it'd be worth looking into.

My option for your 265 would be either a pair of Umbee or Dovii pair. 2 Lovely fishes and will keep you occupied.
For the 120 you can go solo with Parachromis Loiseille or Freddy. Or a pair of jack Dempsey

I was thinking a pair of RTM's for the 120, and I keep tossing the idea of doing peacock bass again in the 265. I use to have Orino, Kelberi, Xingu, Azul, Mono, Broko, Temensis, Pinima. But, had to sell them all when I got rid of my bigger tanks. Clearly I wouldn't get that many again but was thinking maybe 3 or so Kelberi.

Pbass is also nice , i have a single and he/she is a glutton.
Feeding time must be a splash with the speed at which they approach and eat the food...I am worried about your wood on which the tank is resting.
RTM's are lovely colored, only seen them here with many aquarists...personally have never come across one as they are not available here , so cant comment if a pair can be housed in a 120...
But good luck and post some pics once they are up and running.
BTW , what are you planning for your filteration

What do you mean about the stand? and I am just using canister filters on everything the ones that came with it all for now

Well the 120 on the bottom is up and running! image.jpg

Congrats on the new tanks always gun figuring out how to stock them. What brand is the 265 ?

Now a days im really like the bichir/mild cichlid combo been working great for me and with a 265 man your options are endless.

I would probably do a couple of cichlids and fill the bottom up with bichirs lol

Thanks jaws, I am unsure of the brand? I bought it last year around March from a guy on Craigslist, I sold it to a buddy, and now it's made it back to me. I think I am actually going to keep pbass again. I always say I'm going to do something different and blah blah blah but I always end back coming to them. May get a marble Ray as well as some silver dollars. The 120 is probably going to stay as is for now: 2 Rotkeils, 1 Oscar, EBJd, 2 tinfoils. Oscar will eventually get moved up to the 265 with the bass
