Stocking ideas for 28g bowfront

Tank dimensions are 24"x12.5"-15"x18". Looking for maybe a pair of medium sized cichlids that are easy breeders. Also open to other suggestions.

Aren't fire mouths too big? I have a nice 6" male in my bigger tank.

I already have one in my 72. Why would I put it in my 28?
Question: Could I breed a 6" male firemouth with same size female (i assume they need to be same size) in my 28?

Dimensions of 28? What filter? WC routine for tank? Any decor? Will you have a dividor at hand incase of fights? If all of the above are optimal, then MAYBE...

Dimensions are in original post. Filter would be couple small hobs + sponge filter. Tank is currently empty so no decor for now. Yes I can get a divider. Weekly 50% WC.
