stocking ideas for 29 gallon

hello I recently got a 29 gallon bio cube from a friend and I kinda skipped the small fish stage and went to big monsters

now I have this nice small tank but I have no idea what I want. all I know is I want a MONSTER.

fresh or salt is fine with me but it needs to be the most aggressive fish possible for that size tank.all suggestions would be helpful

If anything I can learn a few new species ;)
 
Betta! :D

A small community with a betta as a feature fish always looks nice. And any betta would LOVE 29g of water, considering how they're normally kept. :)
 
Or u can do a non fish such as 1 of these: albino tiger salamander, camel spider, trio of emperor. Or death stalker scorpions,tiger rump tarantula,painted pudge frogs, whip scorpion, vinegaroon, reedfrogs
 
I could never do more than 2 adult crayfish in a 20, so my guess is u will end up with only one or 2 adult X-rays, they seem to squabble constantly, which was entertaining
