I have just picked up a new custom-made tank 54x17x26 (103 U.S. gals).

Current stock from my old tank that I will transfer over include:

10 x tiger barbs (adult size)
5 x torpedo barbs (4 inches)
2 x bosemani rainbows
1 x bala
1 x b/n plec
1 x zebra loach
2 x pakistani loaches

What other fish would you suggest I go for? Ideally I would like a large 'feature' fish, perhaps a pair of angels, but I'm worried that the tiger barbs might not be a good mix (although as a shoal they do keep themselves to themselves very well).

I could add some more balas to make up a shoal of sharks, or maybe remove the single bala altogether?

Tell me what you think! thanks

hmm, i like the idea of the angels but it should mix with the shoal, i had no problems doing it myself, although it was a temporary mix for just a few weeks while i made other arrangements.
maybe look at going to get an african butterfly fish for the surface, not much in prettyness but definetly an eye catching species, also fun to feed live crickets :)

Thanks I'll look into that.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?
Has anyone else mixed angels with tiger barbs successfully?

Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish are pretty cool. I believe that angels would look good in there.
Maybe a pair of kribensis?
A shoal of corydoras for the bottom?
