Hello MFk community !!

I am a new member to the forum here, after looking through many posts i decided to just go ahead and actually make one myself lol (hope i am posting this in the right area)
I have been keeping fish, mainly cichlids, for a few years now and after my 55 gallon stocking issues of just picking any fish that seemed interesting to me and tossing them in, well you can imagine it did not go so well, this time i am wanting to plan out my stocking ideas before i do any buying and figured you all were my best bet in making sure i do things right this time around :)

Ok so as it stands i have a few fish from my 55 that are in the 220 now that include.
1. Female Green terror aprox 7-8inchs
2. 3 tinfoil barbs ranging from 5in to aprox 9inchs
3. and 1 remaining Silver Dollar about 4 inchs

So i have been already doing some research on a few fish that have always interested me and would like some advice on what/how they would work out for my setup.
I use to have an oscar before he outgrew the 55g and sadly died, so i was thinking maybe 1 Oscar, with 1 Jag, 1 JD, and always thought midas were cool as well, and i might add 1 maybe 2 plecos in the tank because well, they are cool fish and can maybe help with cleaning the algae a bit lol.

so with what i already have in the tank and the list of potential new fish, what do you guys think? any advice or combination of the fish mentioned above would be much appreciated or am i way off on my stocking ideas and should i think of different fish intierly?

To add to this a little i think i have narrowed it down to the Oscars and Jags, would i only be able to support 1 of each or could i possible get a few Os ?
Also my Filtration on the tank is currently a rena xp3 and a HOB marienland 350 biowheel.

so just to update this a bit i have
1. the Green Terror
2. 3 Tinfoil barbs
3. 1 silver dollar
4. 1 newly added 3inch pleco
and i am now considering to add maybe 3 Os sense for some reason in my area Jags are sparse if not for sale at all.
what do you guys think about maybe a texas cichlid in there also? or are there any other SA/CA cichlids you guys can think of i could add to my setup ?

Tanks Current stock =
1. Female Green Terror 6-7inchs
2. 3 tinfoils barbs ranging from 5-9inchs
3. 1 Silver dollar 4-5 inchs
4. common Pleco 4-5 inchs
5. 2 Oscars 2-3 inchs
I have been doing some research currently on Silver Arowanas and i know a lot of sources say you need big 500+ gallon tanks, but after watching many videos on youtube of peoples 130-200ish setups with their arows+other fish it got me more and more curious. I love the Arowanas they are really bad ass and was just wondering if anyone on here who has experience with this guys could shed some knowledge that if 1 of them could work with my current setup? any advice would be much appreciated :headbang2.

I would stick to your current because those 2 oscars and 3 tinfoils in a year from now will make that 220 look small.

i think most arowanas will eventually outgrow your tank.those you see in videos are either growing out to into larger tanks,or people unaware that aros get so big.if you stick to SA cichlids, you could do 1 oscar,GT,and a severum.JD could work also.RD and jag i feel would not work with your others.

Hey thanks guys this is good stuff i really appreciate the advice and knowledge here !!!! I will stick with my current stock and let the Oscars settle in and stay away from the arows hehehe:)
