Been a long time since I've been able to set up a new tank. This one is going in the living room since we have recently moved and I reserved the space. The bottom will be bare bottom tile. I have lots and lots of driftwood if I need it. I'm not sure if I want to do a single fish or a community/pair. Any and all suggestions are appreciated both ways.

If your looking for a singleton oscar, chocolate cichlid, or gt. I would add some type of dither fish with the choc and gt not the oscar.

Female nic and dithers would be cool too

Pairs would be cool aequidens metae/pulcher, a small group of cryptoheros, pair of heterospilus (wetspot has them)

What type of fish do you like ?

After keeping my midevil in 75 the last two years I can't wait to move him to something bigger. You think it's a lot of room until you spend a good amount of time watching them. I say this because I think anything that'll get over 10" is too big for a 4' tank.
If I had an empty 75 I'd probably put a grammodes in it. Never seen a grammodes over 10".

I remember you saying that about your midevil. I actually typed it then erased it.

Thanks guys. I have had midas before (female though), flowerhorns, and a few others of those mentioned. I like carpintis gotta thing for em I don't know why, also jacks (especially the electric blue variant but never had luck with them, other various oddballs. Not sure how many would really work in a 75 so I don't know if they are a good option. I will look at some of the suggestions and go from there.
