ive had a few problems and had a few of my fish die. so now that i have gotten my tank back to where i feel safe with it, i want to get some more fish. here is a list of what is in there already, it is 55g. I also need ideas for my 30g which is empty.

55g-
Angel fish
3 red eye tetra
1 Raphael cat
1 pleco
1 peacock eel
1 golden snail

i have no idea for the 30g i want something active and colorful. I know i want a pleco in it just not sure what else.

i feel like my 55g is empty my tetras stay towards the bottom and are shy. im wanting something the fill the space my angel isnt. he is pretty just too slow moving for the entire tank. and im not a big fan of bettas either, i was thinking cichlids but im not sure what i would like.

How many angels? and peacocks usually won't eat fish.. but may go after neons, guppies, smaller fish.

30 gal, active and colorful, I'de look at african cichlids. maybe a pair of smaller ones or a single midsized one. OR a school of neons/cards in a planted scape

add more red eyes. schooling fish need at least 6 of the same type or preferabbly more to feel comfortable. make sure they have plenty of hiding spots as well. as you may not see it but angels can be bullies at times. and the more hidieng spots you have for your fish the more generally you will see them. Content/happy/safe feeling fish = out and about doing their thing.

just one, had two a while back but woke up one night and they were fighting real bad so i gave one too a friend. the eel really doesnt bother any one i had a few really small gold danios in there and he is always occupied by the bubbles. what would be a good cichlid to have a couple in the 30g?

they have plenty of hiding spots, not as many plants now but still enough

For the 30 id do a mini fish community...Corydoras Pygmeas, sparkling gouramis, rocket panchax, snails, shrimp ect :D

For the 55 maybe some rainbowfish or more angels.. Maybe a Red Tailed black 'shark' or lemon tetras...Maybe a selection of gouramis or killifish like golden wonders ect..

depending on what colors you like, body types ect. I'm partial to neolampus leilupi and neolampus Brichardi myself, but auratus are rather neat imo as well, and Juliochromis are intersting. Tanganyika shell dwellers should all be in suitable size range, as would most of your mouth breeders. otherwise kribs, blue rams should also be fine.
