Hi guys. I currently have a 40 gallon (151 liter) community tank and have been a fish enthusiast for years.

I am planning on getting 2 more tanks very soon!

This is what I have planned for my 2 new tanks that I will be setting up:

Tank A:
Tank A will be 20 gallons (75 liters), and will be planted. It will contain Crystal Red Shrimp and Neon Tetra. The substrate will be black gravel, to show the true colors of the creatures inside.

Tank B:
I'm not too sure about how I will stock this one, which is why I have come to you guys for suggestions! All I know is, it will be 55 gallons (208 liters), I will have 1 Fire Eel, and the substrate will be sand. What else should I add besides the fire eel?

Comments/suggestions appreciated!

reconsider tank b. fire eels can grow 3' in length, although your tank could last a while.

Yeah better a peacock or zigzag eel. And I'd also go the oddball route with small poly(s), ctenopoma, butterfly, african knife, stuff like that.

How big do you guys recommend me go for the Fire Eel? I was always under the impression that 50g is the minimum for them.

Also, keep naming some species I can add. I like what you guys have listed thus far.

You'd want atleast a 125 preferably bigger.
