I am currently going to put a EBJD in the 37 gallon I was given today by my brother, I was wondering what other sort of cichlid or any other kind of fish I can put with my EBJD?Here is a photo of the 37 gallon that is empty at the moment.

nothing a EBJD get way to big for a 37gallon... he need a 55gallon....

It would be better if you upgraded to a 40 gallon tank because that is really tall but not very long preferably a 40 gallon breeder but it would work just saying that it would be happier in a longer tank

change to smaller cichlid if u like that option like convict

This EBJD is coming from a 10 gallon guys...The 37 gallon would be more suitable as a temporary set up for the EBJD for now. Also I am currently running a Penguin 350 on the 37 gallon, that is plenty of filtration for the EBJD.I already have a convict in my 125 gallon.

OK 1 ebjd in a 37 gal will work but you would be pushing but why not put it in the 125

I would, but he is only 2 in half inches and most of the cichlids are brutes in my 125, which is the salvini, texas, cuban, convict. Also my girlfriend would kill me if anything happened to the EBJD lol. This tank was free to me, but I needed something quick, because I don't want the EBJD in the 10 gallon any longer, since it has grown quite a bit, which was unexpected since I bought the EBJD around spring break and it was under a inch.

well i won't risk putting it in the 125 gallon LOL so i geus it will live in the 37 gallon
