its around the 100-125 G mark i think its somewhere in between . Can i house a Oscar, Con Pair, and a Texas cichlid in their? i can swap out the Texas for a severum or Salvini Cichlid. im also open to suggestions !! i already have the con pair in my tank... should i buy the oscar and the others the same size as the cons or smaller? or larger? the cons breed a lot can they kill my fish? they are Hrp Cons so they look Great !

Its usually not a good idea mixing breeding cichlids with other cichlids but you may get away with it if there going to be housed in a 125g?! But if I where you I'd take out one of the Cons and you shouldn't have any problems with the Oscar, Convict and Texas combo?!

thnx, i just read your thread about your oscar lol i have a midas in my tank currently .... ITS SO LAMEEE , the only thing it's good for is killing your expensive fish.

I think you are mistaken Midas are some of the best cichlids they are great looking and their ability to interact with there owner is awsome...... The reason you have dead fish is because they should be kept with the correct tankmates or kept alone....

Yeah, my O is fairly aggressive too! Going to get a few SD's, hopefully they'll be too quick for him to catch?! You could prob throw a few Dither fish into that tank too??

i know that they should be kept alone, but killing a 8'' pleco and the midas was only 3.5'' was really weird aha and it also killed my Jag that was bred to get a specific pattern on it's body.

he's probably aggressive because he was raise in a tank by himself, i read that O's are suppose to be semi aggressive. how old is your O? it would be best for the SD's if you intruded them to the tank after the lights are off or isolate your O for 10-20 mins, this will give the SD's time to get use to the tank and become swift and fast again... i noticed that most fish sink to the bottom of the tank even when you let them sit in the tank for 20 mins in their original water. Good Luck that O is Crazyy , but i have a nack for crazy fish :nilly::screwy:
