Hey guys, i am almost ready to build my pond and now i am thinking about what to put in it. i would like to do mostly or all primitive or ancient fish. heres what i was thinking

1 Silver aro
1 Spotted Gar
1 Bichir (not sure what kind you help me decide)
1 freshwater stingray.
maybe some other fish

the pond will be 450 gallons
8' long
4' wide
2' deep

iv been looking at lungfish too as well as knife fish. could i add those to the mix or will they not get along?
i am open to all your ideas. thanks.
also if anyone can show me top pics of these fish so i can see how they will look in a pond that would be great.

I have no experience of lung fish, but that should work fine as long as they are all similar in size. Remember you have a lot of predators there that will eat anything smaller than themselves. I don't think you have reached your stocking limit yet either, or is the filtration limiting?

The bichir will probably be eaten when the gar hits 3+ plus.
I see no problem with a knife fish, how about an oscar or jag?

African Lungfish will kill all the fish in there!

And you forgot to add CICHLA to the stock list!:headbang2

I think cichla would be a good add to it but not exactly primitive fish. Can't think of any other primitives other than whats stocked/mentioned
