I am working this summer so I can hopefully afford a 180g and I probably will be able to, the main factor is whether or not i can fit it through the doorways and stuff in my house.

I would like suggestions on what to stock it with. There are several factors though.1- I want an almost completely peaceful tank if it can be afforded. 2-I don't especially care for Cichlids. 3- I want big fish.

I do have in mind a few fish too, please tell me if they would work. A polypterus. senegaulus, peacock bass.

P.s. any advice or suggestion relevant to this topic is very, VERY greatly appreciated.

Tinfoil barbs, flagtail prochilodus and silver dollars will work if you like bichirs.

I'll almost definitely get silver dollars, I haven't seen flagtail prochilodus at my lfs though.

Ok, thanks, any body have any ideas of fish that would be predatory unless its tankmates are around the same size?

I'm going to reconsider, the fish can be all shapes and sizes(not only big fish) as long as they fit in the tank for life, and fit the rest of the criteria.

Any peacock bass that I have ever seen fits that criteria. You could prob get a couple of blood parrots if you like that look.

hmm, know nothing about blood parrots, sorry. But thanks a lot for the info man i appreciate it.

try datnoids
they are peaceful and most of them need a group to be happy
they grow UBER slow though, so you might want to get them big
