What should I put in my 180 gallon with the fish currently in there? I recently pulled all the rainbows and giant danios out because they started nipping my stingray's tail (stupid, strange little Australian Rainbowfish and giant danios that mimic them). I currently have:
1 Male Motoro Stingray (I can upgrade him when he gets larger)
2 Angelfish (Full grown adult pair)
5 Bala Sharks (all about 2 inches each, and will upgrade when they get bigger)

So what do you think I should put in? I cannot add any arrowanas or oscars unfortunately, as the parents do not like them :irked: )

Any other suggestions?

wow bringing back a thread from the dead...

With bad info.

Fire eels do NOT always mix well with rays.

Fire eels get 30"+ and have a huge appitite, but never had a problem between them and rays.

I watched one kick the crap out of a very expensive ray. :irked: Tore up the back of the disk and both fins. If it wasn't so damn slimey I would have strangled it.

All depends on the eel's temperment.

just a question ive got an australian short fin eel would that harm my 2 motoros about 14 cm and the eel is like 60 cm

Arowana go awesome with rays. Top swimmers and rays on the bottom.

fire eels are pretty sick! but i say if it would kill your ray don't do it

As little as possible in a a 180' leave the water for the ray...I know you are going to upgrade bit add the fish when the ray leaves....it won't be long
