Okay so I know I posted for some ideas a while back, but now its time to lay down the money for my stock. After months of being out of stock, my LFS's wholesaler now has n. tetracanthus. I'm going for them! I have a 125 gal. I want to properly house these guys. Do my quantites sound bad? 3 cubans, 1 red texas, and 1 ebjd or salvini. I'm interested in suggestions for dither fish and catfish. Please help!

I have a 135g south/central American tank. I have a school of buenos ares tetra and they have worked the best for me lately. If any of my larger fish fight or bite, the tetra quickly break it up. Right now I have an 8" spotted face pike, x3 5" super red severum, and x2 Geophagus altifrons and the tetra do great with them. Good luck

I wouldn't do an EBJD with that stock. They are genetically weaker than their standard counterparts and would likely be killed outright or stressed to death. A salvini is possible, however, I would push for a male (they are larger), because of the size difference. Careful if your cubans pair, because when/if that happens all hell will break loose.

Good luck!

My shipment arrived! I am excited to be able to post some pics of my new stock from yesterday.

The orange chromide is just growing a little before moving to the brackish tank
