hey, so im gonna be building a 6.5x3x2 300 gal indoor pond. Im gonna be stocking it with at least my silver aro who will be grown out a little more by then...Im wondering what are some other good fish to stock with. So far im considering 1 to 2 arowanas (1 silver 1 black), 1 to 2 tiger shovelnoses, and a peacock bass, do you think the max setup would work (2 aros 2 tigers and a peacock bass) would be over doing it? what do you guys think?

also do you guys think that it would be better to get a 300 gallon rubbermaid tank? casue im kinda worried about the dimensions

If you are going to build a 300gal indoor pond. I think you should buy the rubbermaid stock. It just more easier to move around the house and outside. And you don't have to do the work. I don't have any of those fish but I think 300gal will work for one arowana only. Arowana gets pretty big. I use to have 7 peacock bass fry (6 inches) and they should can eat. It cost me $5 for black worm and a trip to the pets store every week. So I gave up on them. I told myself if i losing $5 plus gas to store. Where would I put these guys and how much $$$ money will it cost me to keep them when they get big. Sorry to keep your hopes down. Just trying to give you some good advice.

I don't think two tiger shovelnoses will do good in a 300 gallon considering an RTC is at least 1000 with he right dimensions. I would do 2 aros and 2 peacock basses.

You may also want to check out the preformed pond/water basin that Laguna sells. It's roughly 6'x4'x2' and made to be either above ground or in ground. Also, what part of VA you in?

and i check out the laguna basin it looks pretty much perfect! except for the fact that i dont know the price any idea on a place that actually sells them?
