I have a 55 gallon tank with a three-spot gourami, eight black neon tetras, two zebra danios, four kuhli loaches, and a striped raphael catfish. I want to convert it into a large South American tank and get maybe a firemouth and a couple severums. I don't care if the tetras and danios are eaten, but I would like to try and save the gourami and kuhlis if I can....unless the gourami would do fine where he is. I have a 10 gallon tank in my attic, and I was thinking about moving the kuhlies (and gourami if necessary) into that tank. If I do only put the kuhlis in the 10 gallon, I was thinking about maybe getting something to add upper-lever interest....possibly some guppies or a male and female betta, since they are slow movers and thus would do better in a smaller tank. Suggestions.....?
