OK so i have a 150 gallon tank that is currently my reef tank but im going to tear it down and make it fresh....tired of the whole salt thing....but i have no idea what to put into it....i love silver arowanas but id kinda like somthing not so common i like exptic rare fish within a decent price range....also thought about an aba aba but after doing some research i decided no lol...i want 2-4 large fish in it...depending on what they are but like i said i want something different than that norm...so any ideas would be wonderful! thanks!

but more specifically a riverine/Madagascar tank. they got some nice BIG cichlids over there.or an electric eel... one of them.
Ive already got and african tank...its a Tanganyikan and im not much for Malawi. though whats your opinion on maybe a buttekoferi cichlid?
Yeah im kinda that way too i have a 75 discus tank and plecos are my fav fish in the world and i have many varieties! but thats kinda why i wanted to do something a lil bigger and im kinda leaning towards s.e asian fish....any ideas from that biotope?
a 150 g you can have 4-6 piranhas easily. out of cichlids, community tank, and native tank they were the most fun so far, just remember to do water changes religously and have adequate air stones. aro's get to big for this tank. GL
Ive worked around fish for 7 years and i honestly think piranha are the most boring fish! but that is just my opinion! lol im just trying to get some ideas cause ive own alot of fish throughout my 18 years of keeping fish and i just want something oddball and rather large cause this will be the first tank ive done like this...worked around alot of big fish but never owned anything big all my tanks have been either exotic community,species, or small biotope like my tananyikan tank
