stocking permit?

do i need a private stocking permit in ca? I looked at the DFG stocking permit pdf and under "Where to get fish" it says
"You do not need a Private Stocking Permit to stock one of these eight common species in a private pond obtained from a registered aquaculturist: " and one of the fish is bass. and thats what i wanna stock. Am i good to go?

Your best bet is to contact your fisheries department to find out. They can tell you exactly what you have to do to stock it legally. That's how I found out what I needed to do up here in Maine
