stocking please help

im going to be getting a 5 x 2 x 2 or 6 x 2 x 2 soon and it will be home to my small vieja zonatum.

what else could go in there with him?

and it must be able to live with him for life

Get some schooling fish like barbs. That would look nice IMO.

You'll have more options w/ the longer tank. It will make a difference in stocking.
