Ok guys so i'm getting a 245 gallom soon. Its 72x30x26(i think thats the height). I was wondering if i could do some peacock bass in it, like 4 or 5 of them. Ive never kept them just because i never had space. I'm torn between doing a pbass tank with a few limas or a geophagus tank with 20+ of them. Let me know what you guys think

With your selection you can not go wrong. Why not even consider a mix of the 2.

People have done that mix in the past with very good luck. I've always been a big cat guy with bass so I couldn't go that route but always wanted to try it. I did have a small group of GEOS with some growout azuls an they mixed fine but the azuls were still fairly small about 3-5"

When I raised geos with bass, the geos stopped eating when the bass got bigger and someone told me that they don't do well with bigger, more aggressive fish so I rehomed them.. I hope this advice was sound cause I loved my geos. I would love to get some again and try again

I had a bunch of geos with bass. THey did great! You just need to make sure the geos are bigger.
But I got really bored of the geo's so I gave them away. With that tank size make sure you stay away from the temensis and pinima's. Intermedia would be the best bet for that size tank long term.
