Hi all, let me start my saying this is my first post of MFK but I have been a lurker on the website before. Also, I dont know if this is the right thread for a stocking question so I apologize if I was incorrect.

So, I have a 75 gallon about 60% of the way done with cycling and I am beginning to plant it. I was wondering if these fish would work with this tank being a grow out. Not a permanent tank.

3 African Butterfly Fish.
1 Delhezi Bichir
2 Senegal Bichir
3 Rope Fish
3 Leopard Bush Fish

I am hoping to be able to get a 300 gallon aquarium (woohoo!!!) After my next few paychecks. I know it's not a good idea to say "I'll get them a bigger tank" but this has been planned for about a year now and I could've gotten it sooner but I am holding off until I definitely have enough money budgeted incase anything goes wrong that would come before tanks. Basically I dont want to get the tank, crash my car and have to worry about not having that money I spent on the tank to be able to pay bills.

I have looked all over and while I have found a lot of good info on the bichir and ropefish (mainly on here so thank you guys), I havent found many good compatability charts when it comes to keeping with the fish I've listed.

Also last thing, I would be buying the African Butterflys and the Leopard Bush fish at a medium to larger size for them and the bichirs and ropefish at a smaller size in order to keep agression (and eating the others) down hopefully. I hope in the future once I have the 300 going and the bichirs/ropefish have begun to get large in the 75 I will move them to the 300 leaving me with the others in the 75 and maybe being able to grow out some other bichirs or fish I would want to add to the 300 gallon down the line.

Thank you guys for any help you can give!!!

I must warn you Polypterus are addictive lol. Agree your list should be fine.

I heard about those fish in a community. It’s kind of a perfect oddball predator setup because they all come from the same region of Africa. Great choice!!!
