I currently only have one oscar alone in a 55 who is moving to a 75 soon and staying alone, i also have a 45 with a 1.5" elec. blue jd, and a 2.5" polypterus palmas, i'd like add fish with them but am unsure of what to get, if i do they'll move to a bigger tank, any suggestions of fish who won't cause trouble for these two? Also, by the end of the year I'll be getting a 150g from the store I work at and am interested in some help with ideas for stocking it. I am intrested in managuense, motaguense, texas cichlids, pike cichlids, and some of the moderate cats. would I be able to keep more than one of these (but not all) in this size tank, maybe if they were female? i've gotten some conflicting info on whether or not jags and texas can tolerate other fish even their own kind so I'd be interested in having that straightened out for me as well. I'm interested in breeding, but not now which is why i'm looking mainly for some variety. also if anyone has any OTHER suggestions they would be appreciated too since I'm still pretty open to ideas, i'm just trying to learn. Thanks!

well if your putting your jd and poly in a 55 gal you shouldn't add anything else

no, i'm looking to move them up bigger than that too, the 55 is going to the fiancee or possibly getting drianed to put one of my snakes in. at this point i'm thinking i might want to try for a pair of jags and some dithers in maybe a 125 instead of the 150 i was gonna get. I have one angelicus botia and think i'll get a schoal of them to grow out for a while maybe put them in there too. I feel like there are so many things i'd like to do and i just don't know where to start!
