Broken Arrow, OK
I was wondering what your opinion on this was.... I don't know if this is the right forum though... we are setting up our 220 gallon aquarium. We are unsure on what fish we want in it but here are fish we would like...

top level: I would LOVE to have a Black Arowana and/or a leichardtii

middle: a clown knife or a royal kife... My dad is wanting an 8" red-bellied pacu at the lfs.. he is in perfect condition... I would love to try out the sabretooth payaras or others of the family...

bottom: there is a large sorubim lima, my brother is wanting some bichirs on the bottom...

well what combo of these would you do and what combos of these and other fish would you do?

Personally I (myself, but it is familys tank) would like the 2 arowanas, royal or clown knife, the pacu and the payara... I don't know if this would be overstocked or not... just want to have your advice...

thanks... :D

Two arowana will kill each other.

Thats not always true... I've had two aros together before... 1 Austrailian & 1 Silver, they both got along really well in a community tank.

That's because it's a community tank, it's called controlled overcrowding. If there are more top level swimmers it's a different story.

Yeah, and it seems like predatorpassion is wanting to have a community tank also... in his thread he mentioned about keeping aros with other fish, he wasn't planning on keeping only 2 aros together.

I forgot about this thread... yes I just want a predator community... we (my dad and I ) have talked about a good sized above ground pond in the future... I never heard of an aggresive black aro or leichardtii aro...

thanks...

If there are not enough in the top level (arowana water level), I am still worried they will fight to the death.
