Will a midas breeding pair and cincta pike with maybe a few more under five inch cichlids live comfortably forever in a 180? thanks
 
Sounds risky to me, but I have never bred either species. Hopefully someone w/ first hand experience will chime in.

I agree with Toiletcar, if it were not a "breeding pair", then probably not a problem, but if the breeding pair start to breed, any other cichlids will be at risk from the protective instincts of the pair. Most medium size cichlid pairs will defend an area of about 250 gallons (4' X 4' X 4') when spawning.
