Stocking Suggestions

I'm changing my brothers tank for him, it's a 46 gallon bowfront, I usually just keep SA/CA stuff so africans is kinda new.....I already have four pieces of lace rock in there with some other rock(don't know what its called but it has "pores" like the lace) and i used a buffer and the pH is at 8.2, filtration is a biowheel 250 & 150......was just curious what would be some good stocking suggestions for this tank....can always upgrade the fish so fish that get decent size on them wouldn't be a problem just want to hear your guys ideas.....

mbuna are good africans for a 45. you can get abour 15 or so in there are so many color that you can have a good mix. it really depends on what you want.

I'm not real familiar with africans, what does mbuna mean?

I am no expert but I do have non mbunas like peacocks and haps. Mbuna are the Africans that are more rock dwelling.

you could breed a pair of calvus!

but in a 45 only that pair! maybe some rock dwellers but dont push it too much!

but be warned calvus grow very slow!
