I have this 25 gallon aquarium (more like 20 Gallons because of the built-in filtration) and I am going to be setting it up soon.

Currently I have 3 female betta and I MUST get at least 3 more as ever since I had to put one of their sisters to sleep, they have been rather temperamental with one another.

I also have:

2 Bronze Cories (one is a female)
1 Albino
1 Sterbai
1 Tril

At least that is what I believe the last two to be but I'm not certain.

I'm wanting to get at least one more Albino and maybe a Panda if I can mange.

To continue the list:

3 Cardinals (I am wanting to give them away to a friend who has a load of Cardinals in her aquarium)

1 oto (he will go back to the pet store because the new aquarium will probably kill him due to lack of algae in the new aquarium.

Then 2 Assassin Snails.

If I am not able to get rid of the Cardinals, I will buy 5 more if I can.

So, this is what I MIGHT have:

6 Female Betta
7 Cories
6-10 Cardinal Tetra
2 Assassin Snails

However, If I am able to pass along the three cardinals that I have now, what else could I possibly add to my stock, if anything?

Besides the built-in filter, I'll be adding another filter so it will be over-filtered. I know that won't to much space-wise but, I did not have a lot of advice starting out so I am stuck, and very fond, with those fish. :)

betta's are best kept alone. they are not very good community fish.

Really? I have always seen females as being lovely community fish so long as their kept in 3rs or more.

In any case they do not hurt any of the other fish and they and the catfish love hanging out with one another. So I'm not too concerned with fighting among different species. =)
