Long time reader, first post...so here goes!
The 75 gallon acrylic tank I got on craigslist for $55 is finally cycled and my girlfriend and I are having issues getting a solid idea of what sort of stocking would be acceptable. The tank came with a manufactured acrylic wet/dry filter as well and a built in overflow. We already have a 3" (female?) Jack Dempsey, a striped raphael cat of similar size and a Geo. Surinamensis at about 4".
We have read in some places that this fully stocks the tank, but on the other hand people have said there is still plenty of room for other inhabitants. Some prospective companions for the jack include: Severums, blue acaras, firemouths, or another jack of the opposite sex.
Breeding any of the above does have a ceratain amount of appeal since we have a 29 gal growout tank with nothing but feeders...er...platies in it.
