I have a red tail giant gourami, six bar distichodus, spotted gar, and a flagtail prochilodus. Tank size isn't an issue as my fish are all under a foot and I'll be buying fish around the 5" mark, so I'll have some grow out time before upgrading my 7 footer.
Would these fish all cohabitate moderatly well together and with my stock? New Guinea Datnoid, Fat Sleeper Goby, and a Vulture Catfish or Sailfin Pictus Catfish.
Gourami is peaceful, six bar isn't too tempermental, gar is quite small and peaceful, and the flagtail is a flagtail.
